Chapter 36: He’s an Omega?
by GideonZion quickly grabbed Jubin’s arm to help him up, wondering if he’d hit his head when he fell forward.
“Ah… it hurts…”
“You’re going to get hurt if you keep running around like that. Let me see. Did you hit yourself here?”
Jubin pressed down on his hands and knees, swallowing his pain.
“Get on my back.”
“No, I can walk.”
Jubin stubbornly clutched his knee and stood up. Zion wrapped his arm firmly around Jubin’s waist to keep him from trying to run off again.
As Jubin leaned into him with a grin, a damp, sticky scent clung to him. For Zion, a former swimmer, it was a sensual fragrance that stimulated all five senses.
After greeting the remaining actors and the drunken executives, Zion led Jubin back to their room.
“Mmm…”
Jubin, who had drifted off while leaning against Zion, blinked open his eyes as the elevator doors slid open.
“Are we… going to the next round?”
A drunken Cha Jubin was trying to discuss their next drinking spot. Zion’s mind raced.
“What ‘next round’ are you talking about, sunbae?”
Jubin just offered a faint, silent smile.
He started walking ahead, though he clearly had no idea where their room was. His gait was so precarious that it wouldn’t have been surprising if he’d stumbled and fallen at any moment.
“Why… does this bar… have so many doors?”
Only then did Zion realize that the “next round” Jubin was talking about meant another bar.
“Ha, I almost misunderstood.”
For some reason, the air seemed to drain out of him as he muttered to himself. Jubin, who had been leading the way so energetically, turned around and stumbled, his face suddenly crumpling into a pout.
“Do Zion, I’m sleepy…”
Not just sleepy, but I’m sleepy—the way he said it, so casually, his voice laced with exhaustion. Even though it was just the person he liked speaking comfortably, the words sounded like a provocative whine.
Zion pulled out the room key and beckoned Jubin with a flick of his fingers.
“Come here. I’ll put you to sleep.”
The way Jubin approached him, smiling brightly at the offer, was so cute, so pretty, so lovely… Zion was falling for him all over again.
How many people has he charmed with those eyes? The thought that he might have accepted others’ warmth with this same coquettishness made Zion’s blood boil.
The desire to possess him completely surged through me, becoming unbearable.
I tapped the key card against the door. A cheerful chime signaled it had been accepted, and the lock clicked open.
I held the heavy door wide, and Jubin asked with a smile, “Is this the place?”
“Yes, this is it.”
I never expected my self-control to be tested like this. A faint, awkward smile touched my lips as a subtle tension coiled within me.
Fearless, Jubin strode ahead into the room. The city skyline shimmered beyond his shoulders.
“Excuse meee—”
He greeted the empty room as politely as if he were visiting someone else’s home. Even his drunken antics were cute. And he was so darn cute, too.
I inserted the key card, and the room flooded with bright light. Jubin stumbled, kicking off his shoes carelessly as he headed for the sofa in the living room.
“Sunbae, wait.”
Zion stepped in front of him, blocking his path before Jubin could collapse onto the sofa.
“Isn’t that a sponsored outfit?”
Jubin slowly closed and opened his eyes, then tugged at his collar. “This?” he asked, his voice thick.
“I’ll get you a change of clothes.”
Zion had already asked to have his suitcase delivered to the entrance for tomorrow’s schedule. He knelt on one knee, bending over to quickly unzip the luggage. After rummaging through it, he pulled out a set of clothes Jubin could wear and held them out.
“Change into these.”
Jubin took the clothes with a loose, unsteady grip, his gaze fixed on Zion with a strange intensity.
“…Take them off for me.”
Zion let out a short, incredulous laugh at the unexpected request.
“You’re killing me…”
Jubin didn’t hear him mutter the words, his head bowed.
When Zion met his eyes again, his gaze was hazy—perhaps from the alcohol—yet more intense than ever.
Zion had never been this nervous in his entire life. Yet Jubin, a strange mix of exhaustion and composure, seemed completely at ease, as if he were used to such situations.
This was a request Jubin would never have dared to utter under normal circumstances. Does he even realize what he’s asking of me right now?
Zion slowly straightened his bent knee and rose to his feet, closing the distance between them.
A damp, heady scent wafted from Jubin. Now, as always, his scent ignited a fierce, burning desire within Zion.
It was the only Omega pheromone that ever had any power over him.
Zion tried to hide the turmoil in his heart, but his fingers fumbled as he undid Jubin’s buttons one by one from the top down, his impatience making him clumsy.
Jubin, having shifted the task to me, looked down with a relaxed smile.
“Are you nervous?”
Though drunk, Jubin keenly sensed Zion’s tension. He even placed his hand over Zion’s, as if to tell him not to tremble.
“Let’s do this together.”
“Sunbae, right now…”
Do you even realize what you’re encouraging me to do? Zion wanted to ask him earnestly.
Yet, the warmth of their touching hands was so precious that he couldn’t bring himself to stop. This was the opportunity Jubin had thrown him, and he didn’t want to leave with any regrets.
The shirt naturally parted, revealing Jubin’s smooth skin and well-defined abs.
“You said you hated working out…”
“Yeah, I do…”
And yet he maintains himself so thoroughly out of necessity.
A born-to-be celebrity…
Since we’re already here, why not take a better look?
Zion boldly lifted the hem of the man’s shirt with his fingertips, eager to seize this fleeting moment of satisfaction.
The man, who would normally have been too embarrassed to take off his clothes, tossed his shirt aside with an annoyed sigh. He frowned, clearly irritated that the sleeve remained snagged on his wrist, the button refusing to give way. Even that grumpy expression was adorable.
“This thing…”
He held out the trapped sleeve, silently demanding help.
“Alright, alright. I’ll do it.”
He’s never been one to act spoiled, so seeing him grumble like this is such a huge gap.
Zion deliberately took his time undoing the cuff button, savoring the view of the man’s bare upper body.
The sight of his firm, well-defined torso commanded Zion’s attention. His shoulders were straight but not overly broad, looking just right to be held in Zion’s arms. The lean muscles in his arms rippled slightly with every movement, making Zion’s mouth water.
My throat went dry as the faint lines of his abs rippled over his flat stomach with every deep breath he took.
I scanned him with a gaze so blatant that he could have called me a pervert, and I wouldn’t have been able to argue.
“Do Zion.”
Zion flinched slightly at the sound of his name and looked up.
Their eyes met, and though Jubin’s gaze was heavy with longing, Zion pretended not to notice.
Just get him to sleep first.
“Sunbae, I’ll sleep in the living room. You should go to your room and get comfortable—”
Suddenly, Jubin stepped closer, his arms reaching out. He smelled like a damp summer night, a moist and heady fragrance.
Startled, Zion instinctively backed away. Any closer than this was dangerous.
“…Do you hate it?” Jubin asked, his voice tinged with disappointment.
His voice was slow and grumbling, a stark contrast to his usual self. The alcohol had left his skin flushed and his breathing heavy, his body heat radiating a gentle warmth.
As he approached, shirtless, the visual stimulus was so intense that a sharp, tingling ache flared between Zion’s thighs.
“Are you upset?”
Zion couldn’t tell if he was truly oblivious, doing this on purpose, or if it was just a habit. But the way his pheromones leaked out so unguardedly was enough to shatter Zion’s last shred of self-control.
Zion forced the words out. “…It’s not that I don’t want to—”
The man must have already sensed the rejection, because a flicker of disappointment crossed his longing gaze.
Zion hadn’t expected his heart to crumble so completely at the sight of that disappointment. The man’s eyes were wounded, as if asking: I had to steel myself so many times just to ask you to hold me—how could you reject me so coldly?
Zion’s heart sank. He let out a short sigh and added, “This is dangerous.”
“It’s okay.”
Jubin opened his arms again, as if asking for another hug.
Zion knew it wasn’t okay, but since Jubin insisted…
“…I won’t be able to stop.”
Truthfully, he had no intention of stopping. Jubin was just so maddeningly beautiful.
“Yeah, don’t stop.”
Spurred on by the invitation, Zion couldn’t hold back any longer. He pulled Jubin into his arms, trapping him against his chest.
He didn’t dare squeeze too hard, afraid he might crush him. Yet, the psychological comfort and warm body heat Jubin offered seemed to melt him, and a desperate desire to never let go seethed within him.
Jubin, who had been resting quietly in his arms, suddenly tightened his grip around Zion’s waist.
“I love it… your scent…”
Jubin’s hand began to shamelessly wander over Zion’s waist.
The slow, upward strokes of his hand were devastatingly skilled.
Zion craved more of his warmth, but he knew he had to stop here. Being held like this was enough. He had no desire to hold him while he was drunk.
“Sunbae, you should go to bed.”
Zion gently took Jubin’s wrist, wrapping it around his own neck, then naturally hooked his arms under Jubin’s thighs to lift him up.
“Uh, wait…”
Jubin faltered, momentarily flustered. He was an expert at touching others, but being held like this was unfamiliar to him.
“Did your other partners never hold you like this?”
Jubin tightened his grip on Zion’s neck, as if afraid he might fall, and murmured softly.
“…I’ve almost never been held like this.”
And he’s an Omega?
