Chapter 122: Take Responsibility
by GideonThis was my first time filming on location abroad, and even though I wasn’t traveling with Zion, I was still strangely excited. The anticipation was too much to keep in check.
Every single day felt precious. I loved my work. Most of all, I loved being with Zion, sharing the same time and space with him.
While filming Iconic Mood, I prioritized managing my emotions over worrying about external reviews. I relied on the experience I’d gained on set to let my acting flow naturally.
Everything seemed to fall into place, and my acting felt more grounded and centered than ever before.
Of course, I still hadn’t completely shed my stage name, “Joo Yeon,” but ironically, I felt freer now than ever.
I should enjoy this while it lasts, I thought. Because it will all be gone before I know it.
Lost in thought, I was changing my clothes when the door swung open with a loud bang, startling me.
I froze, my back turned, hoping it was just Ji-eun.
Thud.
The door closed, and a familiar scent of pheromones wafted in on the draft.
“Hah… You scared me.”
Relieved, Jubin slowly turned his head, finishing pulling on the clothes he’d been wearing.
“You could have knocked.”
Before the words could even leave his mouth, Zion’s gaze was already locked onto him.
“Then why’d you strip naked without locking the door?”
Zion chided him lightly as he firmly locked the door. In a single stride, he crossed the room and pulled Jubin into his arms.
“I forgot.”
But the heavy pressure Jubin felt against his lower body was anything but ordinary. He swallowed hard, his body tensing.
“You…”
“Take responsibility.”
The tight grip around him left no room for doubt—Zion had made up his mind.
They’d both anticipated this. Their scene throughout the shoot had been so intense that, as a real couple, they knew they might actually get aroused.
“Hyung, you keep cursing, and…” Zion whispered into his ear, “it keeps turning me on.”
Jubin was speechless.
“So you’re into this kind of thing?”
When Jubin tried to gently push him away, Zion just pressed his bulging crotch harder against him.
“It’s because you’re so different from usual, hyung. I love it.”
He hugged Jubin tight, grinding himself against him with a blatant lack of intention to let go. Jubin let out a low groan, stroking Zion’s back to soothe his arousal.
“Are you all packed for your flight?”
Zion buried his face in Jubin’s shoulder and nodded. His pheromones, blooming with the scent of ylang-ylang, stirred something in Jubin’s heart.
He’s been so busy with shoots lately, he must be starving… Maybe I should put out this fire for him.
“Take it off.”
Zion’s eyes widened, as if he’d only expected a kiss at most. “Right here?”
“Yeah. Let’s get this over with.”
What if someone sees us?
Zion’s unusually dark green eyes looked down at Jubin with a flicker of anxiety. Yet, he clearly had no intention of refusing.
The moment Jubin pulled Zion’s penis out of his drawers and took it into his mouth without hesitation, Zion swallowed a sharp groan.
With no time to waste and the risk of being interrupted, Jubin shoved it all the way to the back of his throat in one go. The veins throbbing on the rock-hard shaft pressed firmly against the sensitive membranes of his tongue and inner cheeks.
Sweet pheromones and pre-cum flooded his mouth from the swollen glans. It was a stark reminder of how much they’d both been holding back, using the photoshoot as an excuse.
“Mmm…”
The sound of the Alpha’s Adam’s apple bobbing as he fought to contain his arousal sent a thrill through Jubin. So much for pretending to hold back during the shoot. Jubin began to suck and tug with deliberate focus, and Zion quickly came.
To keep his clothes from getting stained, Jubin swallowed every last drop.
“You swallowed all of that?” Zion asked, pulling a tissue from a nearby box to wipe Jubin’s lips. “How’s that? Feel any better?”
Zion nodded slightly instead of answering. So cute…
I only took responsibility because he told me to, but look at him blushing. Zion uncapped a bottle of water and held it out.
“Drink this right now!”
“Yeah, thanks. I’m going to the restroom.”
“I’ll go with you.”
As he started to follow, Jubin smoothed the front of Zion’s shirt and patted his shoulder reassuringly.
“Joo-won will get suspicious if we both disappear.”
“But I want to go with you.”
Zion pouted, acting more disappointed than just regretful. This was exactly the kind of moment that made Jubin feel their relationship had deepened.
In the past, whenever Zion couldn’t control his desires in public, Jubin had been too busy pushing him away or postponing it. Or, if he did give in, he’d do so reluctantly, always on edge.
But now? Once they were sure they were safe, Jubin would fully give in.
Aren’t we working together just to enjoy this kind of thrill as a couple? he thought, boldly continuing their relationship.
“It’s a shame we don’t have more time,” Zion murmured.
Of course, Jubin preferred giving more than receiving, so Zion’s affection alone was enough.
“Be careful,” Zion warned. “You never know when or where I’ll pounce on you again.”
“Should I be nervous? Or excited?” Jubin retorted with a playful grin.
Zion laughed out loud. “You’re starting to enjoy this, aren’t you, Hyung?”
Jubin grabbed some mouthwash from his bag, straightened his clothes, and waved with a smile. “I’m heading out.”
They still hadn’t discussed exactly how they would handle it if dating rumors ever broke out.
I couldn’t even bring myself to ask how many years he had signed with SUB Entertainment.
This relationship was too precious to me…
I wanted reassurance, yet I was terrified of a definitive answer. I craved confirmation but hesitated, paralyzed by the fear of it.
It was a deeply contradictory feeling.
I hesitated, feeling inadequate, knowing my current position and fame would never live up to his expectations.
Have you thought about how we’d handle it if dating rumors broke out?
But I was starting to realize that time was running out.
In the past, I would have just put it off, thinking I could deal with it someday. Now, the thought was slowly taking root in my mind: the moment I had to face was drawing near.
When would that “someday” actually be?
The main and supporting cast gathered at the studio for the Leaf Resting on Snow premiere live stream.
It felt surreal to be doing the live stream at the same place where they’d held the table read.
When Jubin arrived, the fellow actors who were already there welcomed him warmly.
“JubiJubi! Cha Jubini~ Long time no see!”
“Hello. How have you all been?”
“So, I heard you’re filming a project with Zion? A romance, right?” Do-won asked excitedly.
“Yes, we’re working hard on it.”
“I never thought I’d see the day I’d watch Do Zion in a romance. Now I have a real reason to go see it in theaters.”
Starting with Do-won, who gave the most enthusiastic welcome, Jubin greeted Actor Seo, Actor Park, and the production staff.
Zion arrived just as the rookie PD was mic-ing someone up.
“Hyung! You should have brought this.”
The moment Zion arrived, he handed Jubin his glasses.
Lately, Jubin’s eyes had been getting tired and sore from wearing contacts for too long, so he’d been wearing his glasses more often when staring at a monitor for extended periods. He’d left them on the dressing table, forgetting to bring them along.
“Ah, thanks. I completely forgot.”
“If your eyes hurt, take out the contacts and wear your glasses.”
“I’ll put them on after the shoot.”
On the center table, pizza and chicken from a PPL sponsor were neatly arranged, surrounded by beers with their logos covered.
“Alright, everyone, let’s start monitoring.”
Director Bae Eun-hye’s nervous mutter made Jubin feel tense too.
“Grab a beer, everyone. Let’s toast before we begin.”
At Do-won’s suggestion, Zion cracked open a can of beer and handed it to Jubin.
“Here, drink up.”
From now on, Zion would be the one opening the cans.
“Yeah, thanks.”
Jubin took the beer with a smile, amused by how naturally Zion took over the task, as if he were making up for all the hardships Jubin had endured at twenty.
“Alright, here we go!”
The commercial ended, and the drama’s opening sequence began. Their eyes naturally fixed on the screen, and the moment Zion appeared in the first scene, the atmosphere shifted.
His entrance, clad in the royal robes of a king, was nothing short of majestic.
The direction was superb, but it was Zion’s acting that truly stunned them. With a single, chilling gaze, he had captured both cruelty and ambition.
Zion was King Segyeom.
“Holy shit… That was insane.”
Do-won breathed the words out, completely entranced. Jubin, equally spellbound, could only stare. He wondered how he had ever managed to act against such an overwhelming aura.
For a while, they focused on the drama in breathless silence, munching on chicken and pizza.
They skipped the beer. With a flight tomorrow, they couldn’t risk any hangovers affecting their condition.
Halfway through, the mood shifted to something lighter and more cheerful with Do-won’s entrance. As expected of a veteran, he nailed his role as the scene-stealer.
“Ah, Director! Look at that. You deliberately gave me a close-up! We never discussed this~”
“Don’t you remember messing up three times? That’s the result of filming in the dead of winter. If it’s entertaining, that’s all that matters.”
The light banter between the two broke the tension that had lingered since the first scene.
“Hyung.”
Just as Jubin was halfway through a slice of pizza, Zion held out a pickle on his fork. He mouthed the word “Ah,” and Jubin found himself opening his mouth to take the bite without thinking.
The crisp crunch refreshed his palate, cutting through the greasiness of the pizza.
Zion met his eyes and asked, “Another one?” Jubin nodded.
“Are you two dating or something?” Do-won asked, his voice booming as he watched them.
Jubin flinched, his fingertips trembling slightly. Perhaps it was because they were in front of the camera, but Zion naturally draped an arm over Jubin’s shoulder and stuck out his tongue.
“Don’t try to steal my royal concubine.”
