Chapter 11: Too Dirty, Let Me

The people plotting inside the room likely never expected that their words had been overheard clearly by the very person they were talking about.

Qin Xi and Qin Song didn’t linger outside the Chen family’s door for long.

    The two quickly went upstairs.

Qin Xi entered the apartment right behind her brother.

She closed the door gently and turned around, seeing Qin Song still standing behind her.

The faint light from outside the window was hazy, submerging the man’s figure in the darkness—like a silent, menacing hound, his aura icy and dark.

Her heart jolted slightly. Raising her hand, she caught the man’s wrist and spoke in a soft, soothing tone:

“Big Brother, there’s no need to care about the words of a dead man walking.”

Hearing this, Qin Song lowered his head, his gaze landing on the girl’s porcelain-white face.

Two seconds later, he raised his arm, drew the girl into a brief embrace, patted her back, and remained silent.

The two walked quietly into the living room.

No lights were turned on inside. As the dim streetlights outside cast faint illumination through the glass, Qin Song walked over to the balcony and opened two of the living room windows.

The night breeze outside blew in through the window, carrying the occasional sound of passing cars from the main road.

Everything was as quiet and peaceful as any ordinary day.

Yet Qin Xi knew in her heart that less than twenty-four hours remained of these tranquil days!

As the night deepened, the intermittent chatter from downstairs gradually faded into nothing.

At 3:00 AM, while the entire residential community was fast asleep in dreamland, the two sitting and lying on the sofa simultaneously opened their eyes in the dark.

Qin Xi and Qin Song quickly moved from the living room into Qin Xi’s bedroom.

Having been neighbors for over a decade, Qin Xi knew that the room right beneath her bedroom used to be Chen Liang’s room.

Qin Song grasped Qin Xi’s hand. In the darkness, Qin Xi could clearly see the glint of light reflecting in the man’s dark eyes.

Her ear caught the man’s quiet, reassuring whisper:

“Don’t be nervous. Even if it fails, at worst, we just eliminate all three of them together.”

    Hearing this, Qin Xi nodded.

Taking a deep breath, she held the man’s broad palm tightly in return, closed her eyes, and channeled her supernatural ability.

In the next instant, she felt her mind go blank for a second, and the airflow around her body seemed to freeze entirely.

Opening her eyes again, pitch blackness still surrounded her.

However, her surroundings were noticeably far more cramped.

The bed before her was smaller than the one in her own room. Next to the window stood a computer desk, and beside the desk was a sliding-door wardrobe!

On the bed, a human figure was sleeping soundly.

    Spatial teleportation was a success!

Though, as expected, it was still at Level 1 status.

In her past life, the spatial supernatural ability Qin Xi awakened wasn’t limited to storage alone.

It comprised three distinct abilities in total: storage, protection, and spatial teleportation.

Each time she leveled up, all three abilities upgraded in unison.

In this life, however, likely due to the appearance of the system, the upgrade progress of her teleportation ability had somehow split from the other two!

Currently, both the storage and protection aspects of her space had reached Level 3, but her teleportation ability could still only move a maximum distance of five meters.

It hadn’t even reached Level 2!

Still, Qin Xi was perfectly satisfied.

It was enough for current use!

Exchanging a look with Qin Song, the two slowly walked toward the figure on the bed.

Five minutes later, upstairs in the Qin family’s home…

Inside Qin Song’s bedroom, a man bound tightly like a silkworm cocoon lay on the bed, staring in horror at the two figures standing by the window!

Chen Liang had no idea what had happened!

He felt like he had been dropped into a nightmare!

He was clearly just sleeping peacefully at home, yet inexplicably, the moment he opened his eyes, he was brought into an unfamiliar room.

He was even bound hand and foot!

And the people who took him were none other than his neighbors from upstairs!

In an instant, countless terrifying scenarios flooded his mind.

    Human trafficking, kidnapping, organ trade…

He suddenly recalled the girl randomly adding his WeChat the other day.

Could this be a targeted romance scam or setup meant just for him?

He wanted to struggle, scream, and demand answers, but with his mouth gagged shut, he couldn’t do a thing.

Meanwhile, Qin Xi pulled out an expired bottle of sleeping pills found around the house.

She took out several tablets, dissolved them in water, and was just about to feed them to Chen Liang when Qin Song stopped her.

The man’s expression was cold as frost. Reaching out, he took the water glass from her hands, his eyes locked onto Chen Liang as if looking at a dead body:

    “Too dirty. Let me.”

As his words fell, Qin Song stepped forward, bent down, and yanked out the cloth stuffed in Chen Liang’s mouth with one hand.

His slender, elegant fingers clamped onto Chen Liang’s jaw like steel pliers, swiftly forcing the liquid down his throat!

The liquid was bitter and choking!

Before Chen Liang could even cry out for help, the next second, the rag—still carrying bits of sand and dirt—was shoved right back into his mouth.

    “Mmph! Mmph! Mmph!”

Chen Liang trembled all over, squirming violently on the bed.

Qin Xi watched for two seconds before looking at Qin Song:

“Big Brother, how about we tie him directly to the bed frame? We don’t want him making noise and disturbing the people downstairs.”

Hearing this, Qin Song looked at her dotingly:

    “Alright.”

Ten minutes later, the man who was previously just bound like a cocoon and tossed onto the bed was now tightly bound together with the entire bed like a mummy!

What bound his body were thin, fine threads of metallic wire.

These wire threads seemed to possess a life of their own—the more he struggled, the tighter they constricted, grinding into his skin with agonizing pain!

Chen Liang was overcome with sheer terror!

Yet his eyelids grew heavier and heavier. Before he knew it, he lost consciousness completely…

    Near dawn.

Qin Xi stood by the window looking outside, then glanced back at the man on the bed. Exchanging a glance with Qin Song, the two left the apartment and headed downstairs without batting an eye.

Before leaving, she pointed the camera installed last night right at the man on the bed to prevent any unexpected mishaps.

Qin Xi also grabbed Chen Liang’s phone along the way, intending to use it as bait to reel in Zhao Yuhao.

As for Chen Liang, who was bound into a silkworm cocoon, he would stay here for now.

The reason she didn’t bring him to the warehouse was that her spatial dimension couldn’t hold living beings yet, and teleporting downstairs over a long distance was risky—she feared bumping into someone while heading down!

Furthermore, the warehouse area had people coming and going, making it unsafe.

And as for why they didn’t just kill him outright…

Dying right away was far too easy for him.

Qin Xi recalled how, before her rebirth, Chen Liang had grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the ground, the resentment and cruel exhilaration burning in his eyes.

One way or another, she had to make him experience the exact suffering she had once endured!

When they left the residential community, it was past 4:00 AM, and every window in the neighborhood was pitch black.

Without checking security footage, no one would ever know the two had come and gone.

The car drove out of Red Maple Community and returned to the factory.

At a little past 5:00 AM, they could still catch a brief catnap.

Early the next morning, the assembly technicians arrived to continue putting together the storage racks.

To speed things up, Qin Song had called the vendor in the morning, paying extra to request six additional technicians to assist with the installation.

Qin Song didn’t head out, and Qin Xi didn’t stay idle either.

First, she retrieved the thirty tablets that had finished downloading videos, along with the portable Wi-Fi units.

Then, using her phone, she went on another wild shopping spree ordering cold drinks and street food across dozens of stores.

After placing the orders, she checked the time.

    It was exactly 8:00 AM.

She pulled out Chen Liang’s phone.

She had already unlocked the phone using Chen Liang’s facial recognition earlier and changed the passcode.

Scrolling through his contacts, she found Chen Liang’s mother’s WeChat.

Adopting Chen Liang’s usual tone, she sent a WeChat message to Chen Liang’s mothe
